Booties

I can't stop obsessing over my new booties from Shoemint.com!  

They are cute, comfortable & most importantly versatile.  

You can rock these in the Summer with shorts & skirts or during the remaining seasons with leggings, jeggings, jeans & maxi skirts.  

Pretty much anything you can think of you can pair with these booties.  

Here in MN I will definitely get use out of them & I'm so excited for all the styling possibilities:) 

 They also sell these booties in 2 other colors: black & leopard!  

I'm contemplating purchasing the black but the leopard would also be a fun unexpected print!

Ice Cream

Just got back from having drinks & lunch with friends:)  It was hot out so I had to grab some ice cream for dessert:)  I got about 5 licks into it & a crazed bee started chasing me, so that was the end of my ice cream fun.  I wasn't about to get stung over a little ice cream so I passed it off to a friend who happily obliged.  I honestly can't believe Summer is coming to an end but to be truthful Fall is my favorite season.  If you get the chance, eat all the ice cream cones you can because here in MN the season for that is almost over.  Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend & stay glam.....

Channeling my inner rock star:)

My high waisted shorts are another 1 of my DIY projects.  I recently picked up a pair of mens jean shorts & went crazy on them!  I was so happy when I wore them out, I had several people ask me where I had purchased them!!  My Beatles tee I also went to town on, cutting the sleeves & adding the bows to the back.  I keep saying it, but its so much fun to do little projects like this.  Not only that but the jean shorts cost $10 total.  I've seen shorts exactly like this that retail for $40-$100 +.....

I don't know about you guys, but I love rocking leather all year round!  

For some reason when I wear leather I feel majorly bad ass, haha!  

To soften up my look I added my heart blouse & for more dimension I added my military vest & vintage hat.  

These shorts are a great transitional piece for Fall & Winter, just add tights & a pair of booties & you are good to go!

I'm loving this outfit & let me tell you why.  The "boyfriend" shorts are actually my husbands jeans that he no longer wanted.  I hacked off the legs & customized them to the length I wanted & I really love the way they turned out.  The flannel shirt I picked up at a local consignment store & added the studs to the pockets!  I also made the turban!  I find it so fun to turn old clothing items into new treasures & DIY projects are my new obsession.  Nothing feels better than being able to tell someone, "I made this myself"!!  So, lets all get creative & crafty, hehe.
